Just mowed with my b-112

Got all the kinks out thanks to the fine people here. Mowed over 2 acres for the first time. Mowed at 2" and Everything worked like a new tractor. 3 projects remaining and the b-112 will have almost all new moving parts. 1. Replace all pulleys and bearings 2. Replace all tires 3. Find a 50-60 inch deck for this machine (takes 4 hrs to mow my lawn lol!) I am really impressed with the fact that this 40 yr old machine still works the way it does. In the next year I will be purchasing a new simplicity garden tractor. I want a big one that will do everything! Any suggestions as to which model?

I think that the biggest deck possible at least factory was the 48" deck. Unless I have missed a larger deck for that style of tractor. Hope that all goes well with you B-112. Benjamin

48" is the largest that'll fit. You can tow additional, offset mowers, though...

Your right Benjamin.the 48 inch deck is the biggest from factory. You said you going to get a new mower to do everything. Are you saying brand new one or get you a Powermax tractor. Not sure what new you will need. But a powermax will just about everything you need to do.Glad you got it up and mowing again.Tony

How come the 48 I had for a bit didn't fit under my 64 Landlord??? Are the B112 longer? Or was it just because I have 10.5 AGs on it?? Elon

The late model B-110 with variable shift and the 2210v and hydros and newer tractors were 4" longer therefore would accept the 48" deck.

Nice tractor. I have a 2000 Legacy with a 60" deck and top speed forward of about 9 MPH. I can cut 2 arces with plenty of trees, etc in about 2 hours. I bought it off of Ebay last year for $4,000 with a snow plow. The Powermaxs are nice tractors but my wife wanted me to get something relatively new after spending to much time getting and keep my 4-wheel Gravely running. Now that everthing is fixed the 28 year old Gravely is relativly trouble free and it allows me to "save" the Legacy. Where did you find the B-112?
