shanhamm Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 well we got a new house end of last month, and i finally got my internet back today. just had to share some pics, its a nice little story and a half on a half acre city lot right across from the river. nice back yard with 6 pines, and a four season porch over looking the river. the garage is very very small though, i'm already talking additions. the back yard looks a lot bigger than the picture.
comet66 Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Nice house, that garage is big enough, just leave the cars outside.
shanhamm Posted June 14, 2006 Author Posted June 14, 2006 yeah if i parked outside it would be ok, but its only a 20 x20 just guessing, its small.
ehertzfeld Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH don't you dare complain!!!:(! At lease you have one!!!:(:( Looks like a very nice house. Enjoy that view!:D Elon
johnmonkey Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 What river is that? Is there a quansit hut in your back yard? Nice pictures. JH
shanhamm Posted June 14, 2006 Author Posted June 14, 2006 that is the rock river, there is a damn about 3/4 of a mile south of me and the river does a s turn to the north and about 1 and a half miles to the north is another damn, and just to the northe is a good size "lagoon" its a lot of water and very very good fishing. and that is my garden shed in the back yard. not big enough to fit tractors through the door, yet. but way to big for a shovel, rake weed eater, and a pushmower.
Marty-MN Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 congrats, nice setting and you still have room to stretch your storage
comet66 Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 You'll have plenty of room when you get all that non-tractor stuff out of there.
AGCO918 Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 Very nice new house.Looks like you have enough yard to play.
AC808 Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 Is that right in watertown? i used to live there and it looks kinda familiar...
shanhamm Posted June 15, 2006 Author Posted June 15, 2006 yes it is, its north water st. a few blocks from downtown.
shanhamm Posted June 15, 2006 Author Posted June 15, 2006 heres another thing that sold me on this place..... the wildlife in my yard every day..... you gotta love it, until hunting season.
Kent Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 quote:Originally posted by Roy Beautiful place. ^ That it is... Congratulations!
Simpleton7016 Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 Nice view and the ducks should leave some nice compostibles! Do you fish? I have fished the Rock River for Walleyes in the spring, but it is real hit or miss....that looks like a sweet honey hole right outside your door!
AC808 Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 Oh, cool..Lived there in 97 for a few months and in 2000 i lived in lake mills and worked for Drs Meade and Grohe. I miss that office... I kinda miss Watertown also!
JamesK Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Nice place, great view. Now all you need is either a 720 or powermax to mow with. Another good thing is dinner comes right to your door. No more KFC just good ol MFD (mallard fried duck) :D.
shanhamm Posted June 16, 2006 Author Posted June 16, 2006 i do fish simpleton, as a mater of fact i tried it last week for the first time. caught numerous bullheads (yuck) and a few smallies, undersize of course, and also caught a soft shell turtle. my father in law is keeping his boat in my garage, scince he don't use it. i can't wait to spend a day out there just fishing. i could almost hook the boat up to a tractor and pull it over to the dock, its just across the street.
shanhamm Posted June 17, 2006 Author Posted June 17, 2006 just today i was talking to my new neighbor, and he mentioned somthing about owning a simplicity snowblower. and i asked what he had, well it ends up he bought a 1969 simplicity walkbehind snowblower for $60. and i saw it the thing is perfect condition. so i just got a toro walkbehind snowblower for free i told him i would trade him stright up for it, and he said ok. i'll have pics later.
