L-10 Loader control valve

Our l-10 loader has either a beneficial defect or is designed this way. It will lower very slowly when gently pulling the valve towards the raise position. It has much better control when handling heavy loads than moving the valve to the lower position. My qusetion is this a planed function or a beneficial defect? Any thoughts are appreciated. LanceR

It's a worn spool valve. VERY dangerous when you have a load on and need to raise it up and it wants to go the wrong way. I'd sugest fixing it and if you want a slower lower speed you can put a spring loaded orifice into the lift fitting on the cyl. so it'll go up with all the power and speed you have now but it'll only lower at the designed speed of the orifice so it wouldn't be so jumpy.

Thanks Dave, We just finished a rebuild on the cylinders, the valve will be next. or replaced with a new dual valve so we can add bucket curl!!! LanceR

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
