ToddM 0 Posted October 15, 2000 Well the five horse Brigg's in my thirty-three old Serf finally gave up the ghost. It's been cutting grass flawlessly all summer and leaves this fall. Seeing as I got the little girl for free it really doesn't bother me all that much. I am in the process of installing a new 12.5 HP Briggs I got for $100.00. I know this may sound crazy to everyone and it will in time if I'm not careful will destroy the entire driveline, but I have the time and knowhow to perform such a swap. Plus it will be really cool, according to my kid's reactions.
richp 0 Posted October 16, 2000 Look in the gallery, I recall seeing it done by someone like a year ago. A really high power to weight ratio. sounds cool.
JeffNemes 1 Posted October 16, 2000 Actually that has a pretty tuff trans - I would be suprised if you damaged it. You may need a front counter weight though!
HPuck 0 Posted October 17, 2000 What's the matter - couldn't get the 354 from the old Nova to fit?
