portuncia Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 How do you put your deck on, do you shimmy it underneith or do you drive over the top?
Roy Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 For my FDT's, I unhook the deck then pick up the front of the tractor with a floor jack and snake the deck out. For my RBT's, same procedure except the jack is not really necessary. Just gives me a little more room to play with. In both cases I take the decks out the left side with the wheels turned full right.
D-17_Dave Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 On any of the B-series I've delt with, turning the tires will allow enough room to slide the deck under or out. I drive over the deck on my 620. No slideing that one.
Chris727 Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 I don't drive over mine. Sometimes with a FDT I have to jack up the front but with the RBT's is always a fairly easy slide.
maxtorman1234 Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 I find i have to drive over the B series decks, but all the decks on my RBT's just slide under nicely.
RayS Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Turn the tires all the way to the left and slide it under from the right side.
mhaubner Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 I agree with Ray. turn the tires one way or the other and slide it under. I change my deck out for other implements at least once a week cant see having to jack it up each time to change. I have driven over the deck a few times (HB112). The hardest part for me is to get the hitch lined up with the holes. It is akward at best. I have tried a long stick or prybar at center of deck to lift but requires 3 hands. Seems that no matter where I grab the deck it is not quite the right place.
MPH Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 I ususally put a 1 x 4 under the front of the deck for it to slide on, then slide it under from the side. Come to think of it, now that I have a little concrete floor space a couple casters on that 1x4 would be sweet.
