MPH Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Outta pigweed???????? Well, lest it won't seed out now and I mowed it with out any rock damage to the mower. raised the bar here some so it would show Parked it here to show off to my daughter when she got home from work, got a phone call in the mean time from my son letting me know thier mom passed away so that took the joy out in a hurry even though we all new it was coming cuz of poor choices in lifestyle.
Roy Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Marty, Is pigweed an Alaska thing? Give your children my condolences regarding their Mom. Thanks,
ZippoVarga Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 My sympathies to your family and their loss Marty.
JoeJ Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Our sympathies to your family Marty. Joe and Karen BTW, are a mini side delivery rake and baler next to join the Northern Fleet?;) I watched a fella bale tiny bales with a baler that he made himself, and sell those little devils for what the normal bales were going for.;)
MPH Posted July 4, 2006 Author Posted July 4, 2006 Thanks for the good thoughts all. "BTW, are a mini side delivery rake and baler next to join the Northern Fleet?" Been a dream for awhile Joe but making a mini baler seems a bit over my head. Pigweed is actually what we called Lambsquarter when I was a kid on a Nebr farm. spent a lot of late summer days walking soybean fields pulling it out.
JoeJ Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Marty, I'll try to get some pics of this one if I get to that show this year. He didn't have a pick up on it, he hand fed broken bales into the plunger chamber. Also, no knotter, he hand tied each bale. But his daughters were selling those suckers for $2.50 or $3.00 faster than he could make them!!;)$$$$$$$$ :DNow that I'm on a fixed income, these little cash deals trip my trigger and float my boat, if ya know what I mean;)
PhanDad Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 My condolences on your family’s loss. And now I know what pigweed/lambsquarter looks like!

These are made for walk behind units, but I am sure with a little creative thinking they could be adapted. Very pricey though! [:0] http://www.earthtoolsbcs.com/html/more_bcs_implements.html
