Kohler Crankshaft Bolt?

Recommended Posts

Bruker
I'm in the process of adapting an old EZ Rake vacuum system to fit on my Prestige and somehow I was managed to strip the bolt that holds the impeller to the crankshaft of the EZ Rake engine. I'd like to run a tap into the shaft to clean the threads but it must be an odd type of thread. I tried a 3/8"-24 it's not quite right. Does anyone here know what I need? The engine is a 4 HP Kohler, Model T, Serial #E0179479, Spec.# 317600. Thanks for any help.

According to the parts list, your spec # should have a 220711 crankshaft in it (3/4" diameter x 2-3/8" long, with a 3/16" x 1-7/8" long keyway) with a tapped 5/16 fine thread hole. I can double check one of my K91's if you need further confirmation. Tom(PK)
