Yesterday I went to that auction Mattituck LI.I was really looking for only 900 series AC stuff because you just can't collect everything or can you?Well,he had none of that but he must have at least 5 nice condition 412,2 712's and quite a few very large AC.Lots of Kohler engine parts but I'm a Briggs guy.I'm not familiar with those 400 series tractors but some looked like they had shuttle drive. The deck belt configuration looked a little troublesome with its twists and turns but I don't really know.He had a very nice B10 but it had no deck so it wasn't for me.There were tons of antiques for the wife and she found a few items for herself.

Sounds like he had alot of good stuff. I've never heard of a 412. THe 400's did have straight 3 speeds, shuttles and hydrostatic drive. I just know of there being a 410, and 416. I personally think the deck driven off the front PTO is a much simpler setup than the deck being driven off the mid pto. Too bad theres no auctions around here like that, It seems the people with A/C stuff here are not really bothered, theres not many tractor shows here with A/C garden tractors. I'd like to go to another GOTO like the one in NY we went to, i enjoyed that. Actually I've seen 414's, but theres only info on the 410 and 416 on the site

Hey Guys, What a blast on Saturday. It seemed like nobody wanted to part with their money, lots of bargains. My trailer load consisted of: 7 scyths (Sp?) including one with original label and varnish for $25 Simp VC Walkbehind (runner) with turing plow $100 Simp V rough no attachments $25 Simar 35C rototiller went for $20 when I was chasing the kids, that I repurchased for $100. International Model 9 horse drawn sickle mower, complete with working gearbox but stuck knives for $50 Standard-Walsh walkbehind on rubber, in boxes partially restored $10 My wife got a painting she wanted in a lot of 3 for $30 and resold the "ugly" one for $20 And I backed down on several other great machines just to let someone else take'em home. Again, Thanks for the heads up.

What did the 410 and B10 tractors go for?

Now wouldn't it be nice to see the "ugly" painting show up on The Antiques Roadshow and get priced at about $20,000 or so? That would be a blast, lol.
