Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 Trouble

Has any body had problem entering the site with Ver.5.5. It I just up loaded Aol 6.0 and it runs with M.I.E. Ver 5.5 when ever I try and enter the site it tell me to down load a file called simple1 and when I do then It asked what program I want to run it with. I hope this makes sense. Can anybody help. I'm limited to looking at the sight only at work and is a real bummer. thanks for your help in advance Howard

I had a computer failure so I had to reinstall aol 5.0 from my cd. Then the first time I log on I had the option to update to 6.0 from aol directly. It required the up grade to 5.5 and I just did it Saturday night. Thanks again, Howard

I'm using Internet Explorer 5.50.4134.0600 to write this... I'll try to check it out. When/where did you get AOL 6.0?

Sounds like a memory speed up for frequented site visits. Does the program choice have a drop down menu and is one of your choices IE? If so I think that would be the one you want - but it is a guess.
