compostibles Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I finally got the 3 pt hitch parts from the seller a few weeks ago. 1.Does anyone have a resource on how to mount this on the 620? 2.I'm guessing it's a cat 0 hitch. How do you tell the difference between cat 1 and cat 0? Is it a pain to find cat 0 attachments? Thanks.. Jason
JMAC Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Jason, Do you have the parts manual or the operators manual, either one should have pictures that will help you tell how to mount it?The major difference is in the pin diameter, the Cat 0 is 5/8"dia,while the Cat 1 is 3/4"dia.Cat 0 implements are available but you have to be on the look out for them. This site has some occasionaly and ebay has them also.I have even seen a few new ones advertised.Don't forget that the rear pto on these is 2000rpm not the normal 540rpm.You can always put an add in the wanted section on this site.Hope this helps some.Jerry
wilm169 Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 The with of the hitch is also narrower, a lot of the cat 1 Imps. can have the pins reversed to point in instead of out and work. on the antique tractor site in the left margine there is a forum on 3 point hitch differances.:D
compostibles Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 Hmmm. Well, I measured the pin holes after work, and it is a cat. 0 (has the 5/8 " holes). And as luck would have it, the guy didn't have the operator's manual with it... So, I've got a disassembled 3 pt sitting under my tractor. Not really certain how it goes together... Does the simplicity powermax have this listed in the operator's manual? I'd look tonight, but I need to get up early in the AM for work. Maybe I'll check tomorrow.. Tanks again. Jason
