wayno Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 I was reading in the main simpletractors.com area about the Deutz Allis tractors http://www.simpletractors.com/deutz/ultima_attachments.htm. Was there a Simplicity model similar to the 1900 Ultima series with the shaft drive on the mower deck? That is pretty sweet, anyone have this model? How well did it work? Not looking to replace my B-10 but it is very interesting. Wayno
Nubian Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 That was one of the main factors in my getting the Ultima no belt worries the snowthrower is also shaft driven. And yes you are absolutely right SWEET.......quote:Originally posted by wayno I was reading in the main simpletractors.com area about the Deutz Allis tractors http://www.simpletractors.com/deutz/ultima_attachments.htm. wayno Posted July 29, 2006 Author Posted July 29, 2006 Thanks for the info. I'm assuming the Simplicity was the same 1987 model year? How many years were they made this way? Wayno
rs07 Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 I believe the 1900 and SunStars had a 10 year production run before they were replaced by the Simplicity Legacy and AGCO Allis 2000 Series.
Jason Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Hi These are a great tractor to run and operate! I myself have an Agco Allis 1920H with a 48 inch deck! I bought it used 3 1/2 years ago with 351 hours and now she has 920 hours on it. I have no plans to trade it as it has been a great machine so far. I would not trade it for anything. They are a very heavy duty versatile Garden tractor. Mine is a 1996 model but does not have differential lock. The earlier Sunstars( Duetz Allis's, Agco Allis's, Massey) versions had diff lock standard, but the 1996/97 models do not have the diff lock. Also The Sunstar had different engine options. The earlier Sunstars/Duetz 1920's, 1918's,1916's, and 1914's used the Kohler Magnam engines while the later Sunstars( Agco Allis Verisions) used the Kohler Command engine on the 20hp version. The Agco Allis 1918/Sunstar/MF versions used the Briggs and Stratton 18hp Vanguard engines I belive. Take Care Jason B
