This is my newest tractor to my collection. So new my 7 year old nephew has not seen this tractor yet.:D A 1960 Simplicity wonderboy 700,with pull start.[:0] My buddy bought this to make a pulling tractor...but then sold it to my,even delivered to my house.:D The tractor has a few problems to fix.......needs new tires, needs drive shaft replaced and more. I've had several 700's in and out of here over the years, that one looks to be in very good condition as well as being a very early model (or at least the emblem is anyway) as the very early models had the "wonder boy" in the oval, the later models just the "700". The hump in the seat pan is quite interesting, most likely an owner modification but I certianly can't tell from the photo. All I can say is that I've never seen one like that. Nice find!

Looks like a clean machine. Even the grill looks good. Does the u-joint driveshaft work? I have a Wonderboy 700 and it's a neat machine to see where it all started.

Nothing wrong with that that I can see. Looks like it'l be an easy fix and a very straight tractor.

Nice score Karl. That hump is mighty interesting looking, if it's factory, it's the first I've seen on here. Rototiller belt would be my guess as to it's purpose but the tiller I use on the 725 don't need one. Interesting to say the least.

Here are a few more pictures of the hump. Top view of the fender Bottom view of the fender, original rivets or hand made? The hood has a small crease in it,the lift handle was bent. The drive shaft is only on the end of the crankshaft, held by alan screw I think. Now have the lift handle straight and moving up & down.^ Added some better tires on the rear of tractor to move around. The engine still has spark[:0] but no or little compression. Will have to make time to get this tractor running. Karl www.simplicityva.com

I strongly suspect the hump and hood rests are home made. Be a nice tractor when you get done with it. Carry on,

Simplicity wonderboy update. I have the Simplicity 700 all apart now. The engine needs new rings, but is still in good shape for 46 years old.;) Bevel box is also all apart, waiting for parts. I have some of the tractor all ready painted. I have been looking through my collection of spare parts. Still searching for spindles for the front wheels, one more donor tractor sitting in the field to look at. Will take some pictures when I have some more of the tractor together Karl www.simplicityva.com
