MPH Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Guess it's to early in the morning for the cyber space picture posting little green man to be working or he took Sunday off. will try to add pictures of damage later. After I removed the tranny and opened up the BGB and found everything good as new :) did I realize I had sheared off the key in the drive shaft hub on the front of the BGB, so I hadda remove the dash column to fix it. Ruined the hub but lucky for me, I had brought home a load of tractors last fall, one with the BGB apart in a milk crate so my needed spare part was handy:) Sure feels nice to have my favorite back in operation.
Roy Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Available spare parts are great to have. Now you can keep plowing. :)
firefoxz1 Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Glad to hear it's was a simple fix. Maybe the little green man is admiring the photo's, like we do, before showing them to the rest of us.
tanman722001 Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Glad you got the old girl back together and ready to go.Tony

HubbardRA Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Glad you got it fixed Marty. Sounds like you pulled one of my mistakes. I have been known to tear the hardest part down, only to find nothing wrong. I finally learned to check all of the simple things first.
oshp6094 Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 My dad completely restored a (1962?) Simplicity Model 725. It looks and runs great. How can I upload some pictures of it? quote:Originally posted by MPH Chewed up keyway in BGB Yoke Took the wrong approch to find the problem Out for a ride midnight :30 friday nite THIS is bad, darkness
