cahickm2 Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 I am having problems with my 3212. Today I was trying to mow with it. After I get moving the tractor stalls out. I have to wait for it to cool down before I start it. I just rebuilt the carb. That is the only thing I have done to it since I got it. I'm not a pro but I think it might be something under the points cover. I cleaned them and it starts right up. I pulled the plug to see how much spark I was getting. When I first crank the key it gets normal spark then about 10-15 seconds into it the spark stops. What could be wrong?
tanman722001 Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Could be the point grounding out or could be the coil is getting bad.I would start with points and cond. And see if that helps.Just a thought Tony
cahickm2 Posted July 30, 2006 Author Posted July 30, 2006 I don't know what could be causing the spark problem. But my brother said that the head gasket could be causing the stalling problem. Is this true?
ka9bxg Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Just because it is easy change the plug get rid of that Champion plug.I will not use them in a Briggs.Bob
