The end of the crankshaft will have a teeth on the end in the gear reduction unit. You can cut the gear off the end of the crankshaft & add a key way.The shaft will be a little shorter than a regular crankshaft.

Hello All, Does anybody know if the Gear Reduction Model 14R6 can be converted back to straight output. I don't know what the end of the crank looks like inside the reduction unit. I have a 14R6 and 23R6 on old Locke reel type mowers and would like to use them on tractors if the conversion is possible. Thanks in advance.
