MDB Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Here are some pics that I took the last couple of weeks while Jake and I were restoring our 725 This is what we started with, a 1963 725 that I had cut the frame out and put a 10HP Briggs in about 20 years ago. In this pic, you can see an unaltered frame that I found at the Portland Swap Meet. Sandblasted everything but the engine. Model 19 Briggs that VFD-702 found for me:D wheels all wrapped up and ready to paint. Painting...... Going back together Jake going for a test ride:D All done and ready for Findlay:D
Roy Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Mike, Good looking tractor. ^ You trying to give Fast Paul, Zippo, and Johnnysac competition? :D Jake's smile is priceless. If you were closer I would take the frame with the hole in it off your hands. That's all,
Simpleton7016 Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Nice work!!! That is one sharp looking tractor....I think that model is pretty cool too!

wayno Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Having nearly finished mine, I am awe stuck at how fast you did it. How many people / hours did it take you? Obviously not your first (I hope). I feel slow.... Wayno
MDB Posted August 9, 2006 Author Posted August 9, 2006 Thanks for all of the compliments. Wayno, This is probably the seventh or eighth tractor that I have restored and it is the second time around for this tractor, first time was back in 1986. I did not keep track of hours but if I was to guess it would be around 70 hours give or take.
ZippoVarga Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Mike, Looking forward to seeing that tractor and you again at Portland! Looks GREAT. You sure are setting the mark for Paul my self and Johnny on our next venture. Son looks right at home on that 725!!
Jonnysac Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Mike it was nice meeting you and Jake at the Findlay show. It was good talking tractor with you and you did a very nice job on your 725. I hope to see you again. NICE JOB!!!
