Mick14 Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Anyone know the correct plug for a K-321,14 hp. Thanks Mick.
Karl_Brandt Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Mick, My Kohler book list the spark plug as a champion H-10,electrode gap is .025 in. Karl www.simplicityva.com
ZippoVarga Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Thought the only appropriate plug for a Kohler was a plunger....lol. Learn something new every day!!!!
HubbardRA Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 I use the H10 in both the K301 and K321 engines that I have.
Mick14 Posted August 6, 2006 Author Posted August 6, 2006 Thanks guys,I'm considering getting a Economy Jim Dandy ,i have gotten it to run so i might as well bring it home.Hope i won't need the plunger !
HubbardRA Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Now, Sean, I have 5 extra Kohler engines just waiting for tractors to put them on. :D:D Guess that is because three of my tractors now have B/S engines on them instead of Kohlers. ^^ Oh well, they both have their good points and their bad points. As long as they are one cylinder and flat head, I like both. ;)
ZippoVarga Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Each has it's strong and weak points. I'm just used to the B&S. I've had Kohler's that ran fantastic with no issues, then i've had a couple that were a pain to maintain. But the same goes for Briggs. Heck, if it runs, use it. Or jiggle the handle...lol, sorry. hehe
HubbardRA Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 I wish I could jiggle the handle on the carb of my son's B/S on the Landlord to keep the fuel from overflowing.
ZippoVarga Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Rod, I had that same problem with the carb on my 23D. Turned out to be a loose main jet. Tightened it up and no more leaky jiggle the handle problem. But you know already that it could be any number of things causing it. Does it leak even when running? Oh, and Mick....I hope you got your plug issue worked out. Seems we've sorta gotten off track in this post.
Mick14 Posted August 8, 2006 Author Posted August 8, 2006 Yes,and it and a gallon of fresh gas got it running pretty smooth...sofar no need of the plunger ,i'll keep it handy. I have to say that the independent rear brakes are pretty exciting when one isn't working !
ZippoVarga Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Makes steering interesting doesnt it Mick? Well, glad you got her purrin again. Just watch those sudden stops.
