What is this wire for?

Recommended Posts

I have looked at a few diagrams and am not able to determine its ue. On a 725 the wire {maybe 12 gage} runs from the Positive terminal of the push button start out to the area of the starter generator. There are two wires that run in the sleve of protective coating and the other is a thicker one that goes to the s/generator. I can start and shut off the tractor with this wire disconnected. What has got me puzzled is that I do not think it was added by the past owner because it is in a protective sleve with the thicker wire and I believe this to be stock. Any help with what this wire may be for would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Herm
