Looks like a fun toy to make work, again. Has a bit too much 'junk' on it for me. I like simple mechanical toys, without a lot of linkage working linkage to work even more linkage to make something happen.

I've got a complete Bush Hog D4-10. It has a mower deck, haban Sicklebar, rototiller and the same push blade. I bought it knowing I need to change the 10hp Wisconsen engine. The chrome on it is nice. I added some sites I found below. I am not sure if your's is a D4-10, but if it is I bought a manual from Bush Hog for it ($7). I might want to abdandon this project as I have too many... the goal was to fix this up and bring it to some show; as it is quite rare... but it is interesting looking. http://www.jacques.lacasse.com/GardenTractor/Links/Links.htm http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Board/genoperating/Number/460039/page/0/view/collapsed/sb/5/o/fpart/1 http://www.ytmag.com/gardent/messages/13829.html http://www.geocities.com/bush_hog_v36/index.html http://www.geocities.com/bushhogtractors/

I would say go for it if it doesnt break the bank. They are rare birds and even rarer are the attachments and the trailer. They have car type clutching systems and parts may be harder to find but they stand out in a crowd. I'm currently in pursuit of a D4-12 but its a bit of a drive however gas prices are dropping fast here and that shouldnt be an excuse

If I were closer and had the space, I'd seriously consider it. It's different, and look like it was built to do some serious work. It'd be fun to use on my parent's acreage, my own yard is rather small. It would sure be an interesting project to take on though.
