Hi guys, are the 9020/720 spindles the only one that are made heavier or do some of the 4041/620's have them as well? Thanks in advance, Sean.

HI, How can one tell if the spindles are heavy duty. Do they look different. I was told my 4041 had heavy spindles. I'd like to check on it. thanks

There were at least 3 variations of these. The 4040/616, then a little heavier on the 4041/620(Bigger nut on top) then the last on the 9020/720. This was a tapered/single keyway. The top looked more like a big 'hockey puck' with arms where the early ones looked like pitman arms. Hope that helps.... JP

A few years ago, a thread on these tractors included a reference to a small company that makes heavy duty replacement spindles. I have not looked for it, but it is there if you are interested in good replacements! Tom

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
