rsnik 1 Posted October 20, 2006 I am in the fortunate postion of heading out at the crack'a to fetch a sold tractor from away (that's flinty nor'easter talk for having to leave town to get something.) They don't know what it is, but 1690015 says it is a '73 to '76 7013 shuttle. This is reportedly a pristine and untrammelled example, a virgin only thrice removed. It certainly is in my imagination until I drive 130 miles and find out what I bought. It's one of those deals where somebody came into it who wants badly rid of it and jumped on my offer of $100. The picture I saw certainly looks impressive. Nice day for a pretty drive down coastal CT whatever happens! rsnik

rsnik 1 Posted October 21, 2006 Hey Indscpr! Howdy neighbor. We got to get together sometime. Being a sort of conservative red neck that likes tractors I don't have a heck of a lot of home boys here in the land that invented tree hugging and gay marriage! Anyway the tractor was at a used car lot in Saybrook CT that I guess takes anything in trade. They had a sign up that said "We take most anything in trade. So why not bring down the Missus and go home with a wonderful bargain!" It is a 7013 Baron shuttle. Just took it off the trailer. It is the one that was listed on eBay with a $300 opening bid required that nobody bid on. Pristine condition was a big exageration but I just took it off the trailer and drove it around and it seems solid, headlights even work, all gears work, no issues yet. Has a deck that does not look rotted and everything works. Has a new starter/generator and a newer looking carb. I will get the camera working. It's a Nikon 6.1 I just bought and my son says I have the resolution set too high to even shrink the pics. Best, rsnik

rsnik 1 Posted October 22, 2006 Yeah, I know. My 17 year old son has electronic systems in the family room he has completely taken over that easily rival the Pentagon. Yep, I'm gettin' hosed. I just joined the club and have acquired 4 tractors in a little over a month. First you buy a bunch of garden tractors. Then you bring home a truckload of belts, oil, WD40 etc., and finally you figure out how to send pics to all your new friends without asking your kid how to do it. I will tell the son he is dissing me. Thanks. rsnik
portuncia 0 Posted October 24, 2006 Hey, now your state can't claim tree hugging and gay marriage, no no no no no......I hail from Oregon where all of that originated including the first state to vote in doctor assisted suicide. You aint lived on the Left coast untill you visit Oregon, yep Berkenstocks, tree hugging, gay marriage, the first, remember...Unbelievable that our local newspaper is endorsing a republican for Gov. If it wasn't so beautiful where I live I think I would have left the state long ago to be amongst my own kind. LOL. We are the lefts experiment state for radical laws.
