Has anyone ever found a way to make a regular deck work on a 400 series? Will the right discharge ones from the 600/800 series work?

Without major modifications I would have to say no. Just the shell may work with minor mods and using arbors and tensioner from a 400 deck. The 1 pto belt system with staggered height arbors on the 600/800 series is where the problem arises. If you try show us the results.
