End of season

Looks like the end of another season.Over the last winter I re-bearinged,re-belted, re-pullied and installed new blades on all my 3 decks. All new drive belts and idler pullies on the tractors themselves. My 917 got a brand new Kawasaki 21 hp motor as well as a repaint. This was the best year I ever had cutting the grass and doing chores. No breakdowns! It was well worth the time and effort. That's pretty impressive considering my tractors are approximately all 30 years old. With a little service and maintenance these tractors will run forever.I read that all the sealed bearings have a 500 hour rating. So I decided to change them. What I was expierencing was every so often one pulley or deck bearing would fail.I should be good now for 3-4 years. Life at the house has been rather boring so I will probably rebuild a 7010 someone gave me to stay busy this winter.

That's what it's all about! Satisfaction for a job/maintenance/preparation that's well done. And knowing your machines are in tip top shape;)
