plastikosmd
Well, picked up another B12, this one you may note is missing a key "engine" component. otherwise has a few things i have been looking for. note the extended handle on the hydro..looks handy. this is now my 4th B12..sheeh. also a crawler update for those that have asked. block is now re-tapped for exhaust, still have to fab up a bracket for support. need to weld up a seat pan/seat/bat box. and figure out how to wire up a 6V starter/with seperate generator/ etc so will start with a key. currenly just have the batt in to start it, and then it runs off mag. have to figure out how to wire in the seperate generator/voltage regulator/starter etc...if anyone has a diagram let me know. included a pic of steering clutches too for interest. D-17_Dave
Looks good. BTW, the gen. will wire the same as the B-12 gen. and regulator, minus the large cables for the start side of the circut.
toad270
Man I wish I had that kind of luck 4 B-12 a Hydro and Hi Lo
plastikosmd
dunno bout the wiring..it isnt a stater-generator but a starter and seperate generator..so few more wires...im sure it is not complex...just havent done it before.. so gotta connect stater, generator, ignition with coil, and regulator. someone smoked the wiring before, and gen. was not being used, just would start with battery, and if ever ran low would charge it up. regarding the b12, guess the stars are aligned, as this is my second b12 setup with hi lo and hydro...fastpaul got the last one, in trade for the quadractor (thanks paul it still rocks!) and now these to put on my other b12 scott
Mat Perucci
Like the b12. But that is an awesome little crawler, that thing must haul pretty good. I was looking into getting me an old allis bulldozer. Maybe next year.
D-17_Dave
That's what I ment by the gen. wireing. A standard gen. wires the same with the regulator as a starter/generator. A regular gen. just does not have the strater soliniod and large amp bat. cables added on. If you remove those wires from the start side of a starter/gen. then you have just a gen. chargeing circut. Bunky
Nice find on the B12, Never can have enough.. Like the Crawler also I always thought one of those would be fun... Another thing I noticed your Jack in the Back ground, We have one just like it works great for older cars and trucks but on the newer cars it's not very useable... plastikosmd
no 100% seats yet! still lookin thanks for the wire info...will give it a try, prob more questions to follow. the jack is awesome. i agree on new cars it is not so great, other than bumper lift (previous owner used it to lift the back of his dumptruck to change the rear duals) it was also used as a tranny jack, and has a tranny attachment. works great for tractors, trailers, ATV, or whatever. one of my best flea market finds. scott
