700 wiring & lights complete!!

voltage at battery is 12.8 not running, running it's 13.6 and at the voltage regulator output is 13.6 Should charge fine i would think :D Lights are on 2 seperate switches, 1 for the front pair and 1 for the rear worklight. EVERYTHING IS WORKING :D Now i get to adjust the float (floods MAJORLY) and re-adjust the carb and i should be set for this winter!

All they are are the cheapo $10 work lights at wally world that come with a swivel bracket. I just drilled holes for them in the sides of the hood (didn't want to, but didn't have much of a choice really) and bolted them down. Running the wiring was tricky though, as the front of the hood is on a couple of hinges that allow the hood to slide forward than tip downward....i just left the wires near the grill area a little long, and once the hood is shut i double check to make sure they are tucked out of the way. Work pretty good too!!

Use cable ties or tape to attach the wires to the articulating hinges. This way they will move with the hood and stay out of the way. Those 700s are nice. I really like the extra power that I currently have in mine (61 Wards) with the 14 Hp Kohler. Twice the original power is good.;) Keeping the front wheels on the ground is hard.:D

evening Rod ~ thanx for the wire tie tip.....didn't even cross my mind as i figured with my luck the wires would still pinch LOL The thought had actually crossed my mind to toss in my spare 16hp B&S.....that's a heck of a jump in horsies though.....

Looks like the lights are similar to the ones I mounted front(2) and rear(1) on my B210. Mine are from a NAPA store. My friend owns the store so I try to go with NAPA whever possible :D. I bent up some triangle brackets from flat stock and then welded an offset tab to make them flush with the front plane of the grill and away from the muffler. Since they are mounted to the sides of the grill they are completely seperate from the hood which is nice..

William, Very nice setup. Looks like it's going along. :) After I'm done fixing my tractor up, adding lights would be my next step. How does your tractor run for you? RobS, I have a B-210 too, and love these model tractors! Yours is a true beauty, and looks original. You must've put in a lot of hours and TLC into it. The only difference between yours and mine, in terms of specs is mine has hydraulics... I love these front/rear tires. What kind are they, and what model? They look PERFECT. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get them? I noticed also that you have a different steering wheel on. One of my "ribs" are broken on the steering wheel. It seems that the steering wheel is only removable from the bottom where it connects to the swivel at the frame. But yours seem to be the type that bolts on to the top. How did you do that? I'm sorry for asking so many questions... I have not seen another B-210 in the condition yours has, and it thrills me to see another B-210... Gives me a good picture in my head of what I could do to mine. Thanks for sharing the pics. :)

RobS, Please forgive me again for asking another question :) Where did you get the seat? Mine needs to be redone, and I've been unable to find seats that has the right configuration (white on front and back, black on sides.) Thanks again

Erick, I am the 3rd owner of this tractor but the 2nd owner was a local bozzo mower shop that took it in as a trade and used it for one winter plowing the parking area of his shop. It's a small town and it turned out I knew the original owner very well but never knew it was his tractor. He's was a semi-retired handyman and he was doing work in my office building and my computer was on and my desktop background was a picture of the B210. I was not in and he said to someone in my office "hey I had a tractor just like that, is that Rob's" When I got back to the office and found out what he said I thought "Yeah sure what's the chance..." The next day he comes back to my office with the mower deck, wheel weights, rear lift counterweight, center PTO assembly and other misc. parts and we soon realize I have his actual tractor. It really touched him to see it completely redone and close to original looking. He owned it almost 30 years as he had bought it new as a teenager and worked off the payments by working in the dealership on weekends. Getting back to the steering wheel (sorry for the side-tracking) at some point in this tractors life it was in a fire. The seat, steering wheel, tires, seals, etc. were destroyed. He repaired the tractor for use but not all back to original, it wasn’t pretty. When I got it there was no real seat, just a cushioned square of plywood. The steering wheel is the original wheel but the plastic melted and burned away. What plastic was left he fully removed. I liked the simple look of the wheel (with no plastic) so in redoing the tractor I just sprayed the wheel and then wrapped it with a cloth tape. As far as the seat I bought one just for the framework from Kraft Tractor Parts in Illinois who I found in the Salvage Yard section of the Simple TrACtors site. The replacement cushions were bought from Mary Gearheart as Maynard stated above. They are excellent quality, attention to detail, etc. The seat was really the finishing touch for the original look. If you have the original framework that’s great, so many of these seats have been replaced with the one piece all black no armrest seats like that off of a Sears Crapsmen The tires are from Tires Unlimited on the web. The rears are Carlisle Super Lugs. That picture is a couple years old. I have now put tri-ribs on the front and use the turf saver tires on my other B210 with the mower deck.

RobS, Wow, that's a great story. Your tractor looks beautiful. Thank you for the information, will be getting on that once my family moves in January. It seems to me that your B-210 is higher off the ground from the tires? Looks very beefy. I like the look of your steering wheel. I'm the same way... I don't like plastic on tractors or heavy equipment. It'll be a tough decision- do I look for the original steering wheel, or do I convert it to the metal with the bakelite? Tough decision. It's not higher, tire heights are stock. I think the illusion is from taking the photo from a lower position almost level with the tractor rather than standing tall and pointing the camera at a downward angle...
