wminmi 0 Posted October 25, 2006 Built a homemade weight "bracket" to add weight to the rear.....nothing real fancy, just some angle iron welded together to hold 2 bricks we had lying around. Still need some "support" brackets for it....after adding the bricks and trying it out, it seems shes bending just a bit. Nothing major, couple more pieces of angle and we should be good to go! cwm1276 12 Posted October 25, 2006 For your extra support, make hooks like the turbo hooks around the rear lift. I think the chipper/shreader had the same type of setup.
goatfarmer 817 Posted October 25, 2006 Looks similar to one I made for my 2110. Only I use a car battery, for weight, and starting purposes.:D

wminmi 0 Posted October 25, 2006 just added a section of chain.....seems to support the weight just fine now :D
MPH 12 Posted October 26, 2006 If you make a bracket to connect to your rear lift you'll have the OEM counter wt affect for front attachments and it should also solve your beeffing up need.
RobS 0 Posted October 27, 2006 Yes incorporating it into the rear lift is nice for counter-weighting a blade or blower. This one I used last season was a hat-trick: 1. Rear Ballast 2. Snowblower Counterweight 3. A Place to Store 90ft of Chain!
Ketchamized 2 Posted October 28, 2006 Guys, That's an idea... Wouldn't it be great to add a chain winch on the rear? That way you've got something heavy for the weights and at the same time, have another function and pull you out of a bad situation? :)
