rjgoth 0 Posted October 30, 2006 Paul, What type of paint are you going to use? I have used DuPont Automotive paint that was color matched to the original Simplicity orange. Turned out really nice and dried very hard. Ryan
ZippoVarga 75 Posted October 30, 2006 Ok..........here goes........Paul...Imma say that on December 1st I will tear down, strip and restore my 1964 broadmoor. I have an advantage.....yet a disadvantage. I am disabled and if I go down, i'm out for at least two weeks. But!!! Imma see if I can get through it with out going down and beat your time stamps for a restoration. But I honestly respect your abilities and attention to detail in your restorations and now that I have enough work horses to sacrifice the time off for the old side of the road rescue of my 64 broadmoor, it's ON BRO!!! lol. Looking VERY forward to your restoration pictures Paul.

Looking VERY forward to your restoration pictures Paul. I should get into the contest of seeing who could take longer to redo a Broadmoor, :D I have one that all it needs is some tires and bolts...and probably a good wash job:D:D Its been apart for 4 years now and been all painted stacked up on shelves waiting to be put together
ZippoVarga 75 Posted November 1, 2006 Well, I am at a disadavtage here. Paul is by far the better and faster between the two of us. I just couldnt resist the temptation to suggest a broadmoor build-off. My last project (The blue diamond) took 8 days, but there were months of planning before I turned the first bolt. The broadmoor, my first simplicity, has served me tirelessly for 13 years now and I just thought......it's time she was put on a pedistal. But first there's getting her out of the dungeon. It will easily take me three or four weeks to get her done, possibly longer. If I had a shelf to stack the parts on she would probably already be apart waiting on this and that. Again, looking forward to the pictures Paul!!
