Hub Conversion??

I have 2 sets of rear rims for my 610Lt. They both are really worn around the area where the Pin where you connect the rim to the axle. So I looked around until I found this. They would fit right on my shaft, and I wouldn't have to make any moddifacations. Then I could also add a duals! Would do you guys think? For anyone who is interested in these, go here... http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_17806_17806

The only problem I could see is that the shaft may not be long enough thus requiring you to push the hub on farther which would make the tires set in to far...My son's go-kart has those on it but the shaft is not nearly as long as the older broadmoor ones..Also you could hunt down some used ones or better yet build some..not much to making some if you have a welder..Also the last time I checked they was still avalible new at the dealer.. For dual wheel adapters you need to find some old 2 wheeled Gravely tractor with the dual wheels on it..I had one that I parted out a few years ago and the spacers would work great on the older Simplicity 717 wheels..I thought about doing it someday..Be cool to have a dually Broadmoor, LOL

These are just one of the many they have. In the store they had hubs like these that had about a inch longer of a neck that would fit perfectly on my tractor, but these are the closest ones that I could find on the 'net for a pic.

they may work.....all that holds them is the pin correct? On one of mine, either the 4211 or the 738, there is also a keyway if i remember correctly

These are tires and rims made to fit those exact hubs. I think Northern Tool has just scored a home run!

I don't see any reason why they wouldn't work then if they have a set with the longer neck to match the offset you need..I would like to know if they will work too so if you get some keep me posted..I have been thinking of a project that would require these..

And there are 20-24" tires with rims that would fit the hubs and are narrow enough for Duals! And Chains!!!

you can get them smaller ones (like you want to use for the front) at TSC.....i looked at them today when i was there picking up a battery for the 4211. I think the 6" to 8" rims & tires like that were like $10-$20 each

You could weld the holes up some or drill new holes 90 degrees from the original. I have a set that has formed thick washers welded over the original holes. I used one of my 738's with chains and kept shearing the pin/bolt off.

Mark As far as front tires go I just bought a pair of these off ebay and they look great. Just got finished mounting them. Same size as original and almost the same tread.
