I have a electric front pto clutch on my 7117 and would like to try using that to run snowblower. Would a standard Simplicity belt fit this application? If so what is belt # ?

Belt# 174224 length 66.1" type HA should work useing a 7000 series 2 pulley blower hitch, But running the blower off from the center PTO with 7100 series single pulley blower hitch with Belt# 1666798 length 147.1" type HA Works better with less problems.

Thanks Maynard I have been using center pto, but looking to use that for a salt spreader , which will give me weight and ability to spread salt when done snowblowing.

I've used the 7000 series two pulley hitch (WITHOUT clutch and spring up the side)sucessfully with my GTHL last year with the newer style snowblower head (7" driven pulley). Before that, I was using an old FDT snowblower (5.25" driven pulley) and the two pulley hitch (WITH clutch) somewhat successfully with my GHTL. As Maynard stated, belt #174224, 66.1" is the corret belt for the 7000 series hitch. The belt has to be shorter if your using the FDT hitch with built in clutch. I was using a 63.1" belt (#156120) with a 6.5" driven pulley on the FDT snowblower head. The reason for the different belt length is the hitch "arms" where the snowblower head mounts are longer on the 7000 series hitch vs the FDT hitch. I took pics of them side by side but never posted them. If I can find the pics, I'll post them.
