awaller 0 Posted December 7, 2000 Hello, I just recently purchased a AC 310 and have encountered the problem of the moter not turning off when the key is turned into the off position. I have traced all tge wires and they all appear good, I have also replaces the key switch. no results, Anybody got any ideas?
JeffNemes 1 Posted December 9, 2000 That's a key swich right - not the older push button? If so disconnect the small wire to the solenoid and if it still does it replace the solenoid. If it stops when the wire is disconnected does it stick all the time or just once in a while? Ignition switchs may look the same on the outside but can have different connections on the inside. Be sure to get an OEM switch for your exact model. Sometimes people pull the wires out of the harness and mix them up - then you have to trace each one individually and redo. JimV 0 Posted December 9, 2000 If all else fails throw a kill switch cutting the main power to the ignition, that way you don't burn up your points.
