snow ready + new toy tractor

Well I finally took off some mower decks and got set up for some snow, a blade on the 3416H and blower on the 738. The snowblower and PTO got all new idlers and belt this time, it was getting real noisy last year. I still have a blade to put on the 728 too, if needed. Just need some snow in the forecast, we've had way to much rain and warm weather here. Here is my latest eBay acquisition, it was close, cool, and almost free! My son saw the hood scoop, chrome exhaust tip, and the shifter and said "That would look real cool with flames on the hood!". I can't seem to find much info on it, the guy said it was a 7HP, original Tecumseh V70. Probably a 1970 since its a model 770. He thought they only made it one year or so. No mower deck with it, he said the grandkids rode it for the last few years. Looks like it would make a neat little racer! It has a chain drive from the trans to the rear axle, a simple sprocket change and it would haul! I won't do that though, not very safe, maybe when I was 12 I would have! I have to clean the carb and get a battery for it. Kenny can't wait to mess with it, he want's me to make some chains for it already. I think the fun of a raccer is better than an old Toro at normal speed any day

Looks like everything is packaged under the hood pretty tight. You don't have to make a screamer out of it but a little more speed wouldn't hurt. If the brake is on the tranny becareful if the chain breaks or pops off, no connection to the brakes then. That should make a good little cart puller though.
