I´m on my way bying a 6011, almost unused ^ Since I´m a novice at these mowers I very much would like some info about it. Where can I find parts and attachments for this model?

I have a 6011. It was my first Simplicity. I got it four years ago, and it is my favorite (you never forget your first Simplicity). The 6011's were built during the late 1970's. The 6000 series doesn't get much love here at the Club. "If it ain't a Sovereign or a Landlord, it ain't spit". Well, I own a Landlord (3410), but I still use the little Broadmoor II 6011 for more hours. You can get a copy of the owner's manual from the SimpletrACtors site. I would suggest you also download a parts manual. Do you have Simplicity dealers there in Sweden? In which part of Wisconsin is Sweden located? Good luck with your 6011. And be careful, these Simplicities have been known to multiply! I now have three! Tacey

Thanks a lot for your feedback! Does it work fine compared to newer machines? I will use it for moving snow and mowing. Parts and attachements might be hard to find over here, I really don´t know for sure.

It works betterthan newer machines (better cut quality, and it uses less fuel). Parts are available from Simplicity. Try contacting a dealer on the website "SimpletrACtors". Attachments are a little tougher. If you have to ship something to Sweden, the freight will probably cost more than the attachment. Good luck! Tacey

Thanks a lot guy´s for your answers! I got my 6011 home yesterday :) The tractor was bought new by an old man in the beginning of the -80´s and has only about 40-50 hours of running time. When I looked at it it was around -4F cold but it started right away even though it hasen´t been running since last summer :) The mowing deck is almost unused, so it looks like I´ve found a pretty good piece of lawnmower here. Since I have a lot of snow around the house during wintertime, it would be nice to find a snowblade for it. My guess is that it might be hard to find one..I found a Swedish Simpliciy dealer who sells parts and attachements but my guess is that it´s only for newer machines. Maybe it´s possible to build a snowblade by my self, but it might be hard when I don´t know what the original looks like.

Many of the snowplows are the same. The hitch, which attaches the plow to the tractor, may be the harder item to find. Check with the Simplicity dealer. He may have just the item you need. If not, he could probably let you know which hitch would work, then you could just buy the hitch on ebay, or maybe somebody here has one for sale. Tacey

Johan - Here is an idea for a snow plow: Find the mount through an ad on this website or one of the advertiser. The mount can be shipped to you by UPS with relatively low cost. Then you can build the blade, or modify another blade to work. To use a 42" Snow Blade (part number 1690085), your 6011 requires hitch 1690440 or (1690188 & 1685163 Kit), and also 1690439 or 1690195 Lift Lever. You can get diagrams of these parts from the quick search feature at the top right of the home page for this site. Tom

Great idea Tom! I was thinking that a blade would be easy to find or make. The tricky part is the frame and bracket messures. I was lucky to get my hands on the 116 pages parts and attachements catalog yeasterday from Deutz Allis. On page 102 there´s a complete picture of the blade, frame and all other parts. The only thing missing there is the messures. I will try the search function to see if I can finnd any messures to go on.

Johan - I don't think that Simplicity ever published measurements or dimensions that would help you. Here is a link to the plow mount currently offered on E-Bay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Simplicity-Allis-Dozer-hitch-Landlord-4000-5000-6000_W0QQitemZ190078196127QQihZ009QQcategoryZ82242QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Tom

Nice to see a real picture of it! I think it will be possible to figure out the measurements from the picture and the catalog info. I´ve found a blade today so I just need to build the mount frame now :)

Another question, what kind of white is the color on the hood? I have small dots with rust on it and it would be nice to give it a paintjob before summer.
