725 rebuild DONE!!!!

Recommended Posts

I have stareted a new post to finish my rebuild. Here is the link to the start. http://www.simpletractors.com/club2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=72780 I was finialy able to get the 725 off of the table.

Here are some pics of the finished product.

I'm not happy with the lights, so they will get changed when I can find something I like.

I started the rebuild of the snowblower before if was actually finished with the 725, so here are some pics of it.

Looks like its going to have a snout motor intsalled!!

Now, with the 725 and snowblower done, here is the complete rebuild.

The switch on the left turns the discharge shoot on the snowblower and the switch on the right turns on the lights. There is not allot of room on the dash of a 725 but I found enough room to get them installed.

I want to thank everyone that answered all of my "dumb" PM questions, MDB, FastPaul and HubbardRA. Thanks!!!

OUTSTANDING, That is one mighty fine looking 725 you have there Randy. Looks like you have not spared anything on this one. That would sure look good up at Findlay next year right beside your Landlord:D

Prrretty. I like the location of the lights but thinking maybe some smaller ones would look better. Looks to like with the stack on there you couldn't use B-1 lights like I have on mine. Your blower engagement rod looks long, don't it hit your leg? You sure did a fine job on a well deserving classic tractor

What a beautiful baby you got there. I like the headlights, location and all. Maybe if you found round lights instead of retanglgular ones, might be more to your liking. Rob

Someone posted that they placed lights behind grill. But restoration looks better than new. Such patience with detail !!!!!

Sweet!! I don't recall seeing the belt cover on one before, they usually get lost along the way. You're not going to take it out and scratch it now are you?

Randy, If you don't like the lights the way they are, you might try mounting them inside the grille. I found some expanded metal that looked just like the factory grille. I have made a couple different grilles for my Wards (Simp 700). That way you wouldn't mess up the factory grille. I would try mounting the lights inside, and cutting rectangular holes for them. Then I would use the chrome door trim that you can buy at auto stores to go around the edge of the holes. This should look a little better. I guess it all depends on what look you are after on the lights.
