KDurkee 0 Posted February 1, 2007 I have a 5216H tractor and my brother-in-law just gave me a snow thrower that appears to be for a larger frame tractor. It seems to me that I read somewhere about adapter brackets ot something that would make this work. I did a few searches and came up with nothing I could use. The tractor # is 1690810 and the 42" snow thrower # is 1690032. Can anyone please tell me if these two pieces will work together and what I need to complete the project? I have a big driveway in the snow belt (yeah, we have lots of snow right now - about 24") and this little Snapper is kicking my butt!:D Thanks!! BLT 725 Posted February 1, 2007 The snow blower is for the large frame tractor and for sure the hitch mounts are different. You can download the manuals from here. Just back up to home page and it is in upper RH side of screen.
biggie_rat 0 Posted February 1, 2007 That part # snow blower fits your tractor with minor changes at the hitch point (no fabrication, just a small nuts and bolts change), if in fact, it did come off of a large frame. If it has any other bracket mounted at the hitch point you must use the proper mounting bracket for your tractor which is approx. 30" long with 2 pulleys mounted near the closed end. If you don't have a 30" bracket mounted to the blower, then, you have the wrong bracket for your tractor. I can provide a picture if needed. Also, it will require a lift lever, if you tractor doesn't have one and a lift rod. B.R.
KDurkee 0 Posted February 2, 2007 Thanks for your help biggie_rat. I have no bracket at all right now. I still have to get the tractor from him. Maybe it has the bracket with it? I doubt it since it has the mower deck on it. I'll be in touch! Keith
KDurkee 0 Posted February 2, 2007 Looking at the manuals again, it looks like I'm going to need a front PTO drive as well?

Al 6 Posted February 3, 2007 Hi, I have a snowthrower hitch for that tractor, both used and new. I don't have the lift lever, but it is still availabele as parts and would run in the 150.00 area for the parts to make up the lift lever. Al Eden

biggie_rat 0 Posted February 4, 2007 The snow blower bracket you need should look like this. It's too @$#@&%! cold to go out and take a pic of the lift lever. You'll just have to picture a lever in your mind until it warms up or maybe someone will put a pic of one on here. The lift lever off of your donor tractor is not the same, mechanically, and will not transfer to your tractor. B.R.
