712-S To Hydro Swap

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the help a few weeks ago on the 712-S to hydro swap. The 712 is up and running, had to measure for a mower belt, seems the pulleys changed on the 7114 that I used for parts. I have a 7116 hydro that leaks A.T.F out of the pins in the check valve assembly. What would be the fix for this problem? Also I would like to add a hydro or electric lift for a snow plow. Can an electric lift be put together from parts or can one be purchased as a kit? Thanks Stan

A little light oil of your choice around the pins in the hydro valves and some time working them up and down might clear up the oil leaks. An electric lift "kit" is still availiable with everything you need. There is one on ebay right now.

Nice looking tractor. Installing a elec. lift is easyer and quicker than installing hydualic lift. I've done both, and I like them both about the same.

If you decide to go with a hydrolift, I can give you the information that you need to buy the parts and hook one up. I put on on a 716H. I have drawings and descriptions of what parts are needed and how the parts hook up. Let me know, if you need this and I will post it again.

Sharp looking 712. If you go with electric lift for your blade make sure you have the spring loaded lift rod as electric lifts do not have a float postion.
