MrSteele 495 Posted February 12, 2007 I suppose I am calling it what it is? I have a rebuilt engine, a rebuilt deck, several new belts, though I have to get a few more for stock in the event something goes.... But, I am still using whatever pile of rags I can get easily for a seat. I was intending to recover the seat myself with a roofing product called Duro Last for weatherability, but when I removed the old covering, there was little metal left to cover. Is there a decent supply of seat pans available for the old wide seat, or am I going to have to settle for a newer style seat?
Tom_Byrne 0 Posted February 12, 2007 Try Northern Tool. They have a pan seat almost identical to the old Landlord seat- I bought one and I'm satisfied. Only difference is there are drain holes in it. On sale right now too!http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product2_6970_403691_403691

This new style seat has two bolts in the middle which would mount on a large tractor seat spring. Drill two holes in your seat deck and they fit nice. Guest Posted February 13, 2007 There is also a seat cover which goes right over the old seats and it looks really nice. I have one. I think they are sold on eBay by a guy for $29 all the time. I refered him to Kent to advertise on this site, but I don't think he did anything. ka9bxg 3 Posted February 18, 2007 With the seat that Northern sells I roled back the fabric drilled some holes in the correct place and welded some bolts into place works O.K. but still would like to fix the original.Bob
TomSchmit 55 Posted February 19, 2007 Bob - Place in ad in the classifieds. Remember that the same seat pan was used on the 707 and 717 Broadmoors!
MrSteele 495 Posted February 20, 2007 Thanks for the advice. I will agree with Bob, as well. I would like to put it back as close as I can to how it came out. But, down here in the sunny south, there are few who would notice the difference, anyway.
MrSteele 495 Posted February 20, 2007 Hey Paul! Is that by chance an LA or LB International on the wagon behind your tractor?
