charging problems on a 620

My 620 quit charging this last summer. I tested the rectifier, regulator, and stator as the manual directs. They all tested fine. It has a rear oil seal leak that has mucked things up in this area also. I was hoping to pinpoint the problem with the charging system before tearing into things to change the oil seal. Need some tips!
