Roy
Does anyone have the bearing numbers from the cone roller bearings and cups for the front wheels on a B-1? Jack's Small Engines has the bearings but is real proud of them. If I knew the numbers I might be able to find them elsewhere for less. Note that the inner bearings have an integral seal and the outer bearing do not. All else fails I'll dig into my wheels/bearings and see if I can find the numbers. Just trying to get a head start. HubbardRA
Roy, It has been a while since I took any apart, but I believe that both the inner and outer bearings are the same. The seal presses into the wheel hub and is not made into the bearing. At least that is the way mine are.
MPH
Used Timken Lm11949 - Lm11910 . Think those #'s are the race and bearing listed sperately on the box. Also a 200306 55 # on there which may be the set. I've used them in the 725 and B-112. Only problem is a new seal is not part of it.
dav
in july of '04 i put simplicity inner wheel bearing number 154397, $26.14 and simplicity inner bearing race number 154393, $6.87, into my big ten. the inner wheel bearing comes with the grease seal on it, the outer bearing doesn't use one. i went to the local bearing store first, thinking they would be cheaper than a dealer but they told me the seal part made it a dealer only item i think the B-1 and the Big Ten have the same front wheels. i dont know how much prices have gone up
Roy
All, Thanks for kicking my memory back in. I can buy the seals separate like those on my 7013S wheels and get the bearings for a reasonable cost from Motion Industries here in town. This will get me down to around $50 for all new bearings instead of almost $100. Love this place,
msiebern
Looked through some notes I took from here a while back, can't remember who posted it and when I tried to search for it, it kept timing out on me, but here is the text that I copied from the original post. "QUOTE" Sorry for the delay - here it is: I ordered these from A & W bearing Supply in Dallas, TX (awbearings.com) The front wheel bearings are Timken parts, and the prices were from 2 years ago Front wheel (outside, no seal) TIM LM11949, $3.75 each Inner bearings (with integral grease seal) TIM LM11900LA, $8.41 each bearing races (cones) TIM LM11910, $2.01 each EDIT: Missed these by a couple of months. http://cgi.ebay.com/Lot-of-4-Timken-3-4-bore-seal-bearings-LM11900LA_W0QQitemZ290061842003QQihZ019QQcategoryZ1267QQcmdZViewItem
Roy
Mike, Great info and prices. How did you get around the $100 minimum order? Thanks,
TomSchmit
Roy - The quote that Mike pasted in is from an old posting of mine. Back when I bought from them, their minimum was smaller. But I can helo you now! I would like to purchase four each of the 2 types of bearings, and 8 each of the races. Combined with your order, this should get you over $100. Want to do it? I need to redo my 725 front end, so I would need 2 each on the bearings and 4 races. Mike
stevenj
Roy, Motion Industries has a $10.00 min order at their local facility. You might want to take a look at the late model 7117 parts book. The later models used an inner bearing w/o the seal and the seal was a separate item. These are the part numbers for bearing and seals that I bought Fall 2006 for the 7117H (17GTH-L, 917H). The inner and outer use the same bearing set. The seal installs between the inner cone & roller and the spacer sleeve that is on the spindle. Simplicity 217016 Seal $4.25 Timken LM11949 Cone $8.88 Timken LM11910 Cup $4.78 Steve
Roy
Tom, Don't know. Give me a few days to clean up my bearings and I'll let you know. Steve, I can still get my foot in the door at Motion Industries from the company I retired from. My Motion prices from their web site are identical to your prices. Would also have to get two of the spacers the seals ride on. More later,
Roy
Steve, Motion Industries corporate prices are lower: LM11949 cone = $5.43 LM11910 cup = $2.92 These prices are from my companies corporate account. A & W's prices are even lower. Tom, I sent you an e-mail. Thanks,
2burning
If you want really cheap, the foreign A2 sets from any auto parts store like NAPA are $3.29 for a race and bearing together, so $13.16 for both wheels. This is minus the seal washer though.

Roy
I think Tom ordered one set for me, two sets for himself, and maybe and extra set of two on Monday (2-26-07). He is out of town on business through tomorrow (Wednesday) so we have to wait to hear from him.
TomSchmit
Yes, I ordered one set for Roy and two for myself, and an extra set for Mike S (although I have not actually talked to Mike!). If Mike doesn't want the set, I will offer it to George. The parts should hopefully arrive today or Friday - I will fill you in when they get here!
