Russthebus 0 Posted February 24, 2007 Two questions for anyone who knows... I have a 1984 Simplicity 7790 (oringinally diesel) now a 17hp Kohler. 1. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the snowblower belt popping real easily. I just recently bought this tractor to snowblow with. 2. Does anyone know if they made a snowplow for this tractor as well? If the snowblower is going to be a pain in the rear I'd like to get a snowplow for it instead. ANyone with any info would be great. Thanks Russ

UCD 14 Posted February 24, 2007 The 7790 was a 7100 series tractor so effectively you now have a 7117H If the pulleys are lined up properly and the bearings in the idlers are good it shouldn't throw the belt. Also be sure the idler on the tension adjustment is in the bottom hole. the top hole is for the mower drive. Yes they made a 42" 3 position manual angle and a 46" 5 position remote angle plow. Tacey 0 Posted February 25, 2007 Although that's a relatively new tractor (compared to some that are owned by others on this site), it is a nice one. The hydro tranny and hydro lift are desireable features. Simplicities cut grass really well, and a wide variety of other attachments are available, too. Good luck with your 7790.
