Ronald Hribar 127 Posted March 8, 2007 I would think that either the hydraulic cylinder or the electric actuator would have the same dimension between the mounting points. Does someone have that dimension ?
HubbardRA 19 Posted March 8, 2007 Ron, are you looking for the width between the mounts on the rockshaft, or the ones on the rear mount. The rear mounts are different for the hydraulic than for the electric lift. I used a lift cylinder from a Sunstar on my 716H when I installed the hydrolift. I had to grind flats on the cylinder rod and cylinder body mounts to make them fit between the chassis and rockshaft mounts. I used the rear mount from a 7100 hydrolift on that one and the 716 rockshaft. I would have to crawl up under my 716H to get the dimension from the rear mount. Tractor is packed in the hut pretty tightly now. Probably can't get that dimension till weekend. If you want the rockshaft dimension, I have one of those laying in the garage. Easy to get that dimension. I'm not sure they are the same. I just ground it to fit.
Ronald Hribar 127 Posted March 8, 2007 I need the distance between the mounting holes on the cylinder. Where you put pins in to hold cylinder in place. I could measure tonight when i got home, but was looking for that information while I am at work.
HubbardRA 19 Posted March 8, 2007 I'm not positive, but I think it is 8" compressed and 12" extended.
Ronald Hribar 127 Posted March 8, 2007 thank you , I was thinking shorter, but that does sound about right
Ronald Hribar 127 Posted March 10, 2007 I see said the blind man. On a recent post I noticed that the electric lift attaches at mid point. I was looking at an electrice actuator that looked very much like a hydraulic cylinder. It was used to replace hydraulic lift on at boat motor. It fit in where a hydraulic cylinder fit. I did no get a clear answer back on retracted and extended length.
