B&S Carburetors

Just a warning to anyone disassembling a B&S carb on a 10, 12, or 14 cast-iron engine without the aid of a manual. The top has 4 screws attaching it to the body. Before you take the screws out and try to separate the two parts you must remove the needle valve on the lower front of the carb and then the tube that it fits in. This tube runs from the body up into the top and will be damaged if you attempt to force the top off. Tim

Hi Tim, Thanks for posting your message as I was later today going to go through my carb. Infact I was gathering my tools. Thanks again for the warning and I now know what to check for. Your friend Jackl

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
