310D lift motor shot.

I had the same problem with the electric lift on my 314H I removed the lift cylinder. Then I removed the two long screws that hold the motor on the assembly. I removed the casing and cleaned the armature with some fine sand paper. The springs for the motor brushes were a little weak so I streched them a little for more pressure. This seams to have fixed the problem as the lift works fine now.

Jim, Sorry to hear about your lift problem. I have always wondered about the strength of these electric lifts. If you decide to take the lift apart, and you happen to get into the screw, be careful because there are 67 (I think) recirculating ball bearings that will very nicely fall out onto the floor. Good luck with your repair. Colin
