electrical issues/leaky carb

I need help with getting my 3212h running. I bought new points and condensor today. The wiring is a mess. I need a wiring diagram and points diagram. The diagram in the owners manual doesn't show enough. Which wires run to the positive terminal on the ammeter. Which run to the negative? I rebuilt the carb today. When I attempted to get the tractor running the carb was spewing gas all over. I don't know how or why. Also, When I was trying to get it to start, I could feel an air leak at the head. I took the head off and It was visible the the gasket blew out. When I had the head off, I noticed a huge mouse nest under the flywheel shroud. Is it best to take the engine out to clean this? How hard is it to remove the engine?
