MPH 12 Posted March 16, 2007 There you go David, bad weather will quite often make for bargin outdoor auctions. just remember guys, you still have 4 more days of winter left, it's suppose to be snowing;). Enjoy it while you got it, soon you'll be bbreaking a sweat as you step outta the shower with your hot humid summertimesm00
johnmonkey 4 Posted March 16, 2007 Hey fellow Marylander, good luck at the auction. In southern Md. we got freezing rain and ice. There may be snow by morning. I would go to the auction, but a farm neighbor just got a 2500.00 fine because his flock of sheep are getting out of his fence (the local gov fined him because he had no LEASH on his flock!!!). There will be several people mending fences and I will be there. JH
ambler 0 Posted March 16, 2007 I reviewed that auction last year and there was a lot of junk. Found this beside the road in Mt Airy and did some dickering. She has troubles but she does have hydrolift and Hydro tranny. Blades nice too.
carbuff713 0 Posted March 17, 2007 Didn't buy anything at the auction -- there was an old two wheel Wards tractor with plow, cultivator, and tiller looked to be in very good shape, they said it run -- it sold for 200.00. I think it might have been a Simplicity. I bid on a sleeve hitch cultivator that went for $30.00 I was only willing to pay $20.00. Now I am thinking I should have bid more. Oh well. Two years ago I bought a nice little disc for $7.00 so anything more than that seems high. There was probably 35 garden tractors at the auction -- mostly John Deeres, several two wheel Gravelys. Only one Simplicity -- a small one. I got to spend the morning with my dad -- that was the best part.
ambler 0 Posted March 17, 2007 Dave, Dave I think everyone brings out their garage junk for the early sales. Should be some stuff up around Sykesville. I'm out liberty road from you.

Amber -- I will have to keep my eyes open for old Simpicity tractors when I drive around Mt. Airy and Sykesville. Do you see many around Frederick?

ambler 0 Posted March 19, 2007 Just noticed that myself,Matt. First time I've seen them. I haven't decided if its a keeper yet. It has a broken rod. I was going to do a quick engine swap and see if the hydro tranny and lift are good. Steerings rough too.
