johnmonkey 4 Posted March 19, 2007 Sorry, but it is orange, a fellow down the street has a ~2004-5 Kubota BX23 with a front loader, backhoe w/ 2 buckets, 4wd, post hole digger (not sure if there is any other atachments) and has 200 hours on it. He will be asking $12,000.00 for it. Any comments on that tractor, good or bad. JH

Kent 436 Posted March 20, 2007 That tractor was about $16K new, perhaps less if he bargained hard, so consider that in your evaluation. Overall, the price seems fair if in it's in tip-top condition. I suggest you spend some time lurking on the Kubota forum at TractorByNet, reading posts, and learn more about them. They're good little machines -- but they are little if you're thinking of big jobs. I looked at the BX-23 very closely (and the Kioti CK20) before finding a used Power Trac to use on my lot in Tennessee... Not sure how you'd plan to use it, but be aware that the "belly" is exposed on them, making the transmission lines, fan, filters, etc. exposed underneath, between the sides of the frame. If you're going into the woods or treating it hard on a construction site, I'd recommend you plan on adding "skid plates" to protect those "sensitive things." That was one of my key concerns about them, since I'm using my tractor in the woods...
