kirk
Hello, Working on an old allis-chalmers 712S. Upon inspection of the rear end of the tractor with the wheels off of the ground, i noticed especially on the right side that the axle has probably a 1/2" of end play. It appears that this side also has what appears to be a limited slip hub or something of this nature which i would say is hooked to axle tubes which also have a lot of in and out play on both axles. Is this normal or do they somehow need the endplay taken out of them. Are there any good break down diagrams of this rear end? Thanks for any help.
