I replaced the cone clutch on my 7117. It does not seem to release. Could someone show me the link to exploded view of clutch ? I seem to remember that it should only move 1/8".

Thanks Maynard I found that when I tightened the locknut for the cone, that I could not move pulleys. I removed cone severals times . I found that the factory applied lining was protuding out father on the new cone compared to the old cone. thus it was engaging cone sooner that it should. My initial thought was that I had missed some thing on disassembly.

Hi, I suspect the retainger ring slipped out of the groove behind the clutch plate. If this ring is only slightly distorted the plate will push it out. The groove is only half round and the groove in the plate has to slip OVer it so it can not come up and out of teh groove. Should be an easy fix. Al Eden
