Tractor hauler rebuild

[Jonnysac 56]

This is my 1986 Chevy 6.2L diesel Suburban. The automatic transmission was slipping so I pulled the transmission and then I decided to pull the motor. The motor still ran, but I ended up rebuilding it. I replaced the automatic transmission with a 4 speed manual out of my dad's old '79 Chevy dually. Here are some pictures of that project.

The motor was boared 40 over and many new parts were added. I had the fuel pump and injectors rebuilt. I also had to add some mufflers to quiet the beast. It is a good time to drive and I am very happy with it.

That's one sweet garage area. Nice job on the 6.2 .40 over would make it near 6.5L. A tubro would really wake that beast up are you using straight diesel or bio-d? I'd like to make my next PU a diesel but time will tell on that.
