People have posted with tips for hinging the hood on Simplicity's or B-110's but has anyone tried it on a B-212. There is less clearence on the 212 because of the steering wheel. Just wondering if anyone has done it or knows someone who has and can give some tips on how to do it.

Just recently some postted a picture using draw slide to hinge a hood. Looked workable. The method I copied off the 725 may work also though like on the B-112 I think would require two new hole drilled in the hood. By lifing the front of the hood first like I do on the Landlord the hood could be moving forward before the rear is raised enough to hit the steeringwheel. Haven't found a B-212 yet:( so I haven't seen one to say for sure.

As I stated in the other post, I made a hood for son's 64 Landlord. We used a long hinge plate (6 inches between holes) then drilled holes in the hood to match. This one works like Marty said. Lift the front, pull it forward, then lift rear after it clears the steering wheel. All you need to do is make the length of the hinge plates long enough to pull the hood out from under the steering wheel, then drill new mounting holes in the hood.

Roy, I will eventually get you some pictures. My son lives about 16 miles from me. I'll have to remember to take the camera the next time I go up to his house and get some pictures. If things go right, I may be going up there next week, if I can get it set up to get his Mustang parts car out of my back yard and delivered to his house. I based the design on my 61 Wards hood. That is a Simplicity 700. I drilled two holes in the top of the grille sides for the pivot. Cut two plates and drilled holes in each end. Bolted one end og the plate to the grille and put the hood in place to determine where the other hole needed to be drilled. Marked it and drilled the holes. Put all the bolts in and used double nuts to prevent them from coming loose. Closed the hood and that's it. No hold downs latches or bolts in the rear. It just sits there and does not rattle. Works just like the 700 hoods.
