Poppa-J 0 Posted March 29, 2007 Would someone share dimensions of the rear implement bracket so I can make the part I need to bolt to my 738 , for the tiller I bought last fall . I've been told it's hard to find , and usually gets sold with the tractor . Any help will be appreciated
TomSchmit 55 Posted March 30, 2007 I will try to get these measurements for you this weekend! Tom
TomSchmit 55 Posted April 3, 2007 Here are three pictures. I assume you know what the hitch looks like. I have lost my software for drawing on the pictures. For these measurements, I call the "front face" the widest part of the hitch. This front face bolts to the mounting bracket on the transmission (after you remove the standard ball hitch mount). The hitch is made of 1/4" steel, It is 6-5/8" wide by 3-1/2" high. The two ears extend 2-1/2" to the rear. The notches in each ear are 3/4" wide by 1-1/8" high, and are start 1" behind the front face. The holes (for bolting it to the mounting bracket) are offset - be sure you offset to the correct side. The bolt hole closest to the side edge is 1-1/4" from the end (to the center of the bolt hole). You can then use the old ball mount hitch to get the correct spacing for the second hole). I forgot to measure the top-to-bottom location of the bolt holes, but you can eyeball that from the pictures because it does not have to be exact!
